Hand-harvested, sorted and de-stemmed. Old hardy bush vines, these vines are both heritage vineyards, older than 35 years. Saamloop is a white blend of 70% Chenin Blanc and 30% Colombard. Fermented separately in large oak vats and kept on the lease for an additional 7 months after which skilful blending took place. Saamloop meaning “walking together” is named after the hill where the vines are grown.
TASTING NOTES: Crisp and light this fresh wine is perfect for summer. Aromas of sweet melon and guava on the nose that follows through on the palate. Mid-palate is lean with a mineral lengthy finish.
